These Terms apply to the Live in French private program and related online French teaching services sold by Learn French with Jo to individual customers. Please read them before purchasing the Live in French program.
The services are provided by Josselin Crenn — Individual Entrepreneur (EI), trading as Learn French with Jo, SIREN 108428715, email contact@frenchwithjo.com. Full legal details are available in the Legal Notice.
Learn French with Jo offers the Live in French private online French program, designed mainly for A1–B2 international professionals preparing to move to France or already living in France.

The program follows a structured framework. Activities and situations may be adapted to the student's level, goals and professional or personal context. The exact content shown on the website or payment page at the time of purchase forms part of the contract.
Prices are displayed in euros. The current public price of the Live in French program is €600 for the full 8-week private program, unless another price is clearly displayed before purchase. Where the French VAT exemption regime for small businesses applies, invoices will state that VAT is not applicable under Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.
Payment may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider displayed during checkout. Enrolment in the Live in French program is confirmed once the required payment has been successfully completed and the regular weekly lesson slots have been agreed.
The Discovery Call is a free 30-minute video call intended to discuss the student's relocation project, current French level, goals and main communication needs, and to determine whether Live in French is a suitable fit.
The Discovery Call is not a paid lesson, does not include a guaranteed formal CEFR assessment, and does not create any obligation to purchase the program.
Lessons are normally delivered online, for example through Google Meet. The student is responsible for having a suitable internet connection, compatible device, microphone and, where appropriate, camera.
Discovery Call times and, where applicable, lesson times are shown in the booking system and may be displayed according to the student's time zone. Students should verify the selected date, time and time zone before confirming a booking.
Unless a different rule is clearly displayed before purchase or booking, a scheduled Live in French session may be rescheduled without being treated as used when at least 24 hours' notice is given.
With less than 24 hours' notice, or in the event of a no-show, the session may be treated as used and may not be replaced, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise or where exceptional circumstances are accepted by the teacher.
If Learn French with Jo has to cancel a session, the student will be offered a replacement session. If the service cannot reasonably be rescheduled, an appropriate refund may be offered for the affected part of the program.
The free Discovery Call may be rescheduled or cancelled through the booking system, subject to the availability shown there.
If the student arrives late, the lesson normally ends at the originally scheduled time. A significant delay may therefore reduce the effective lesson duration.
Live in French is designed to run over 8 weeks, with two private 50-minute sessions per week, for a total of 16 sessions. The regular weekly lesson slots are agreed before or at the start of the program, subject to availability.
The student is responsible for attending the agreed sessions and using any rescheduling options within the applicable notice period. Unused sessions do not automatically extend the program beyond the agreed period unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The program is personal to the student and may not be transferred, shared or resold to another person without prior agreement.
Consumers purchasing a service online generally have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days from the date the service contract is concluded, subject to the exceptions and conditions provided by law.
If you ask for the Live in French program to begin before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, Learn French with Jo may request your express instruction to begin early. If you subsequently withdraw before the service has been fully performed, you may be required to pay for the part already provided, where permitted by law.
Where a service has been fully performed before the withdrawal period expires, the statutory right of withdrawal may be lost only where the legal conditions are met, including the required prior request and acknowledgement from the consumer.
Live in French is an educational service. Progress varies between learners and depends on factors such as attendance, independent practice, starting level and learning needs. No guaranteed CEFR level, academic result, examination score, visa outcome, admission decision or employment result is promised.
Students should behave respectfully during lessons and must not record, reproduce or redistribute lesson content without prior permission, except where permitted by law.
Live in French is currently marketed primarily to adult international professionals. If Learn French with Jo agrees to provide services to a student under 18, booking and payment must be made or supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
Original lesson materials, exercises, documents and teaching resources supplied by Learn French with Jo remain protected by intellectual property law. They are provided for the student's personal learning use and may not be commercially reproduced, published, shared or resold without permission.
Discovery Calls, lessons, payments and bookings may rely on third-party services such as Google Meet, Calendly and Stripe. Temporary outages or technical problems affecting those services may require a lesson to be rescheduled.
If a serious technical issue attributable to Learn French with Jo prevents a lesson from being delivered, a replacement lesson or appropriate refund will be offered.
Any complaint should first be sent to contact@frenchwithjo.com so that an amicable solution can be sought.
These Terms are governed by French law. This does not deprive a consumer residing in another country of mandatory consumer protections that apply to them under applicable rules.
If an amicable solution or mediation does not resolve a dispute, the competent courts are determined under the applicable rules of jurisdiction; these Terms do not impose an exclusive French court where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
The Terms applicable to a purchase are those made available to the customer when the order is placed. Future changes do not retroactively alter a contract already concluded unless the parties agree or the law requires otherwise.
